HELLO, WORLD

I'm Ned Nguyen

IT Systems + Software Development.

Picked up a dead PC from the street, brought it back, and never stopped. Now I work with hardware, networking, and code to build systems that are stable, predictable, and useful.

ChronoMate – Scheduling System

JavaFX desktop application for managing customers and appointments with timezone handling, filtering, and reports. Built as part of WGU Software II.

Tech: Java, JavaFX, MySQL, JDBC
Java · Inventory

C482 Inventory Manager

Inventory management system that lets users create, modify, and track parts and products with validation and search. Desktop UI using JavaFX.

Tech: Java, JavaFX
Automation · Web Scraping

Robot — eBay Product Title Scraper

Playwright automation that launches Chromium on Ubuntu 24.04, searches eBay for "kvm displayport", scrolls to load results, and prints the first valid product title while skipping sponsored listings.

Tech: Python 3.14, Playwright, Ubuntu 24.04
Robotics · Simulation

Rescue Robot – CoppeliaSim

Disaster-recovery robot navigating a maze with sensors, detecting obstacles and humans, backing up, rotating, and choosing new paths to assist in rescue scenarios.

Tech: Python, CoppeliaSim, Sensors
AI · Chatbot

Kortana – CS Career Advisor

Chatbot that interviews students about strengths and interests, then suggests computing career paths and next steps like skills or courses to learn.

Tech: AIML, Python, Pandorabots

About

I like working where hardware and code meet. I build PCs, fix weird network issues, and write software that actually runs on the stuff I put together.

Most of what I make is practical: schedulers, inventory tools, small automations, and bots that shave time off everyday tasks. I care about things being stable and easy to understand, not just flashy.

Offline, I'm messing with Linux, taking photos, or out hiking.

  • Comfortable in Linux + Windows mixed environments
  • Hands-on with hardware, networking, and software
  • Interested in backend, automation, and AI-driven tools
